Seminary Luncheons

Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary

Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary's president, Jeff Iorg, will be the featured speaker at the Alumni and Friends Luncheon at 12:30 p.m. in Room W303 of the Orange County Convention Center's West Building in Orlando. Tickets, at $10 per person, are available by calling 1-888-442-8709 or e-mailing rsvp@ggbts.edu. Tickets also can be purchased at Golden Gate's exhibit hall booth.

Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary

Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary will host its annual Alumni & Friends Luncheon at noon in Rooms W307A-D of the Orange County Convention Center's West Building on Level 3. MBTS President R. Philip Roberts will provide an update on construction of the new chapel and other campus activities. To make a reservation, contact Midwestern's institutional advancement office at 816-414-3720 or IAoffice@mbts.edu before Thursday, June 10. Reserved tickets, at $15 each, can be picked up and paid for at Midwestern's exhibit hall booth on Tuesday, June 15.

New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary

New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary will host its alumni luncheon at noon in the Orange County Convention Center's Valencia Ballroom B-C. The seminary will honor its distinguished alumnus for 2010 as well as the Class of 1960, which will celebrate its 50th reunion. Tickets are $20 in advance, $25 at the convention. Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary

Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary will host its luncheon for alumni as well as friends of the seminary and college at noon in Room W304E-H of the Orange County Convention Center's West Building. SEBTS President Daniel Akin, a member of the Great Commission Task Force, will speak on both the state of the seminary and its commitment to the Great Commission, as well as the Great Commission resurgence movement within the SBC. Tickets, at $25 each, can be reserved at sebts.edu/alumni/events or by calling 919-761-2203.

Southern Baptist Theological Seminary

Southern Baptist Theological Seminary's luncheon for alumni and friends will be at noon in the Orange County Convention Center's Valencia Ballroom, Section A. Seminary President R. Albert Mohler Jr. will present a ministry update on behalf of the seminary. Tickets, at $20 each, may be purchased by calling the institutional advancement office at 502-897-4142 or by e-mailing Retta Draper at rdraper@sbts.edu. Remaining tickets will be available at the seminary's exhibit hall booth.

Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary

Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary's National Alumni Luncheon will begin at 12:30 p.m. in the Orange County Convention Center's Valencia Ballroom, Section D on Level 4. SWBTS President Paige Patterson will present the seminary's annual report and the 2010 distinguished alumnus award. Tickets, at $20 per person before June 13, may be purchased online at www.swbts.edu/sbclunch or by calling toll-free 1-877-GO SWBTS (467-9287). Tickets after June 13 will be $25 per person and will be available online or at Southwestern's exhibit hall booth.

SBC Chaplain's Luncheon

Maj. Gen. Douglas L. Carver, U.S. Army chief of chaplains, will address the annual Southern Baptist Convention Chaplains' Luncheon at 11:30 a.m. Monday, June 14. Based at the Pentagon, Carver is the first Southern Baptist chaplain to be promoted to the chief of chaplains office in more than fifty years. The luncheon will be held in Room W303 of the Orange County Convention Center's West Building in Orlando, Florida.

Pastors' Wives Conference

"Greater Things" is the theme of the annual Pastors' Wives Conference of the Southern Baptist Convention's Pastors' Conference, with keynote speaker Bobbye Rankin. The conference will be held from 8:30-11:30 a.m. Monday, June 14, in the Valencia Ballroom on the 4th floor of the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando. There is no cost for the event and registration is not required.

COSBE Worship Service

The Conference of Southern Baptist Evangelists (COSBE) Worship Service is Wednesday afternoon from 2-5 p.m. in the Theatre of the Orange County Convention Center adjacent to the location of Convention meetings. The afternoon will feature well-known speakers and musicians, as well as a special videotaped greeting and message Dr. Billy Graham.

9Marks at 9

9Marks at 9 will be meeting Monday and Tuesday evenings following the final sessions. Sponsored by Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, the gathering will be an opportunity to explore the 9Marks ministry that was originated by Mark Dever, pastor of Capitol Baptist Church in Washington DC. The sessions will be held in the West Building, Rooms W311C-D and G-H on Level Three. For more information, stop by the 9Marks section of the SEBTS booth in the exhibit hall.
